Dipl.-Ing. Univ. Ottmar Sirch

XXXOttmar Sirch studied Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Technologies, at the Technical University of Munich until 1985. From 1985 to 2001 he was with Siemens AG, Semiconductor Group, later Infineon Technologies AG, working as a Technology Development Engineer, a Physical Failure Analysis Expert and a Key Account Manager as well as in the Strategic Sales. Since 2001 he is with BMW Group. He was responsible for several projects, HVAC Electronics, Electric Power Supply for Hybrid Vehicles and Advanced Development for Vehicle Power Supply. He was a key player for the standardization and introduction of 48 Volt in the automotive industry. Since 2015 he is a Cost Engineer for power electronics in electrified vehicles and for vehicles power supply systems.
He is chairing the conference „Electric & Electronic Systems in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and Electrical Energy Management“ since 2008, together with Dr. Carsten Hoff.
