Bidirectional high dynamic test bench energy systems with active energy recovery, from manufacturer Heinzinger electronic, covers a wide range of automotive test applications. These ERS units are available from 50kW up to 250kW and for voltages up to 1,000V as off-the shelf products. Along with battery simulation and inverter test, also testing and verification of high voltage batteries for EV and HEV systems are typical applications. The power supplies are able to reproduce at best the real conditions during a test cycle by using high speed regulation and communication to reach undelayed and continuous transitions between source and sink mode. ERS units are available as single or dual channel units which offer a wide range of output configurations.
